7.15.09 Name changes galore!
This has been a crazy 10 days or so for our band. As most of you know, we changed our band name from Fiancé to The Atlantic in April of this year. Unfortunately, after we made the change we did not trademark our new name right away. We did the research and the name "The Atlantic" was available at the time we made the change. However, a few short weeks after we changed our name (and before we got around to trademarking it), another band actually beat us to the punch and trademarked "The Atlantic" right out from under us. So without getting into the legal mumbo jumbo, we had little choice but to change the name of our band for the second time in 3 months.

Enter the era of FLASHBULB FIRES. We are very happy with the new name and this time it is for keeps. The downside to this change is that this website (much like the Fiancé website) will no longer be kept updated with shows, news, etc. Please visit us on our NEW website: www.FlashbulbFires.com to stay updated with news and events surrounding our band. In the next week or so we will be pre-releasing TWO brand new songs from our forthcoming album. You will be able to download them for FREE at the new Flashbulb Fires website. Thanks for sticking with us through this strange time of our band's history!

We are excited to announce The Atlantic's showcase day and time for the 9th annual Denver Post Underground Music Showcase. The band will play on Sunday night at The Skylark Lounge at 9pm. Check the shows page for more details on how and where to buy tickets.
